And the Land Sleeps - 2023 (Ongoing)

It's interesting how landscapes change over time, especially returning to the places you grew up around.

On the outskirts of Blackburn, just off of the m65 towards Chorley there's a variety of housing developments being made in the area, which is unlikely to be affordable housing, or aimed at people from Blackburn.

It reminds me of an article online I saw earlier this year calling Blackburn a 'new hotspot for Manchester commuters.' (or something along those lines). Because of this they're landscaping the area, and draining the lake or reservoir there. The area was previously home to the Sappi Paper Mill which closed in 2008 and was demolished in 2012.

I'm always drawn to these places between the natural and man made for some reason, and the back and forth between the two as things are demolished, reclaimed by nature, then renovated and rebuilt again.
