And the Land Sleeps - 2023 (Ongoing)

Projects

It's interesting how landscapes change over time, especially in returning to the spaces you grew up...

Over Lockdown I lived with my family in a static caravan on a 12 acre plot of land on the outskirts of Blackburn. It was a place we had hoped to build together into a community off-grid. Lockdown marked my parents separation, and subsequent breakdown of their relationship, finding both the land, and ourselves caught in between.

This ongoing project follows a process of returning to this space, exploring the marks left on the landscape from our time there, the scars of relationships unhealed, and of dreams put on hold.

The land sleeps, and the grass grows on.
